The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.24.4

पुनर्जातं पुनर्नष्टं सुखदुःखभ्रमः सदा ।
अवश्यंभाविपर्यन्तदुःखत्वात्सकलान्यपि ॥ ४ ॥

punarjātaṃ punarnaṣṭaṃ sukhaduḥkhabhramaḥ sadā |
avaśyaṃbhāviparyantaduḥkhatvātsakalānyapi || 4 ||

Repeated births and deaths, and the continued rotations of pleasure and pain, are all to be accounted as painful, on account of their terminating in pain.
