The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

चिन्मात्रे प्रसृते काले व्योम्नि नावि जले स्थले ।
निद्रायां जाग्रति स्वप्ने भवेज्जगदिवोदितम् ॥ ९ ॥

cinmātre prasṛte kāle vyomni nāvi jale sthale |
nidrāyāṃ jāgrati svapne bhavejjagadivoditam || 9 ||

It is the action of the intellect, that makes the world to appear to us at all times and places; whether in the sky, water or land, as also when we wake, sleep or dream.
