The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.10.18

मुक्तं त्वहन्त्वशब्दार्थैर्लभ्यते यच्च तत्परम् ।
युक्तं त्वहन्त्वशब्दार्थैः प्रेक्ष्यमाणं विलीयते ॥ १८ ॥

muktaṃ tvahantvaśabdārthairlabhyate yacca tatparam |
yuktaṃ tvahantvaśabdārthaiḥ prekṣyamāṇaṃ vilīyate || 18 ||

That which is free from or beyond the sense of I and thou—the subject and object, is known as the truly Supreme; but what is seen under the sense of I and thou, proves to be null and void.
