The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

इच्छानागी निहन्त्येषा कृपणाञ्जीवसंचयान् ।
वासनेहा मनश्चित्तं संकल्पो भावनं स्पृहा ॥ ८२ ॥

icchānāgī nihantyeṣā kṛpaṇāñjīvasaṃcayān |
vāsanehā manaścittaṃ saṃkalpo bhāvanaṃ spṛhā || 82 ||

The elephant of concupiscence kills members of miserly and covetous men, in the state of their wish or desire, or exertions and effort, or longing and hankering after anything.
