The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

शान्त एव चिदाभासे स्वच्छे समसमात्मनि ।
समग्रशक्तिखचिते ब्रह्मेति कलिताभिधे ॥ २ ॥

śānta eva cidābhāse svacche samasamātmani |
samagraśaktikhacite brahmeti kalitābhidhe || 2 ||

The spirit of the Lord is always calm, with the serene brightness of the divine Intellect in itself; it is full of its omnipotence, and is attributed with the appellation of Brahma.
