The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.87.4

निरर्गलरसो यत्र सामान्येन विजृम्भते ।
मुक्तरागादिमननं तत्कल्पनसुखावहम् ॥ ४ ॥

nirargalaraso yatra sāmānyena vijṛmbhate |
muktarāgādimananaṃ tatkalpanasukhāvaham || 4 ||

The unrestrained delight which is felt in general (from the words of the wise), which are free from self-interest and selfish motives; is far superior to the self-restricted pleasure of sovereignty, which is delightful once in imagination only.
