The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.85.57

ईषद्ध्यानाद्गतान्यत्वं क्षणादम्बुतरङ्गवत् ।
पपात विपिने तस्मिन्द्विजपुत्रकरूपिणी ॥ ५७ ॥

īṣaddhyānādgatānyatvaṃ kṣaṇādambutaraṅgavat |
papāta vipine tasmindvijaputrakarūpiṇī || 57 ||

She reflected a little on the Agni-soma-mantra, and changed her form as the water turns to a wave; and then alighted on the earth, in the shape of a Brahman's lad.
