The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

परमात्ममहावायौ रजः स्फुरति चञ्चलम् ।
कुसुमाङ्ग इवामोदस्तदतद्रूपकं स्वतः ॥ २ ॥

paramātmamahāvāyau rajaḥ sphurati cañcalam |
kusumāṅga ivāmodastadatadrūpakaṃ svataḥ || 2 ||

The supreme soul is as the universal air, which breathes out the particles contained in the intellect; as the etherial air bears the fragrance from the cells of flowers.
