The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

समताकाशवद्भूत्वा यत्तु स्याल्लीनमानसम् ।
अविकारमनायासं तदेवार्चनमुच्यते ॥ ५८ ॥
samatākāśavadbhūtvā yattu syāllīnamānasam |
avikāramanāyāsaṃ tadevārcanamucyate || 58 ||
Equanimity expands the soul, and gladdens the minds, as the sunlight fills the vault of heaven; and it is the unchangeable sedateness of the mind, which is reckoned as the highest devotion.
