The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.32.29

चिच्चेत्यचेतनान्मोहात्स्पन्दमायान्ति वासनाः ।
तदीरिता स्मरत्यन्तरन्यद्विस्मरति स्वयम् ॥ २९ ॥

ciccetyacetanānmohātspandamāyānti vāsanāḥ |
tadīritā smaratyantaranyadvismarati svayam || 29 ||

Forgetfulness of the intellect, the intelligible (truth) and intelligence, produces the desires of them to vibrate; these give to remembrances of the past, and their want buries them to oblivion.
