The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.21.6

यदा सुरासुरक्षोभपतच्चन्द्रार्कमण्डलम् ।
आसीज्जगदतिक्षुब्धं तदा नाकम्पत द्रुमः ॥ ६ ॥

yadā surāsurakṣobhapataccandrārkamaṇḍalam |
āsījjagadatikṣubdhaṃ tadā nākampata drumaḥ || 6 ||

When the orbs of the sun and moon, shook with fear, at the tremendous warfare of the gods and demons, and the whole earth was in a state of commotion and confusion, even then did this tree stand firm on its root.
