The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

ब्रह्मणो व्यतिरिक्तं हि न शरीरादि विद्यते ।
पयसो व्यतिरेकेण तरङ्गादि महार्णवे ॥ ३९ ॥

brahmaṇo vyatiriktaṃ hi na śarīrādi vidyate |
payaso vyatirekeṇa taraṅgādi mahārṇave || 39 ||

There is nobody nor being beside the being of Brahma, as there is no wave nor foam or froth of the sea beside the water of the deep.
