The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.72.13

मिथः शिलापुत्रकयोर्यथैकोपलपुत्रयोः ।
श्लिष्टयोरपि नो रागस्तथा चित्तशरीरयोः ॥ १३ ॥

mithaḥ śilāputrakayoryathaikopalaputrayoḥ |
śliṣṭayorapi no rāgastathā cittaśarīrayoḥ || 13 ||

Two statues hewn from the same stone, and two figures carved of the selfsame wood, bear no affection to one another, however they may be placed near to each other; so it is the case with the body and mind.
