The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

आगमापायवपुषा विषवैषम्यशंसिना ।
भोगाभोगेन भीमेन चेतो गच्छति पीनताम् ॥ ६३ ॥

āgamāpāyavapuṣā viṣavaiṣamyaśaṃsinā |
bhogābhogena bhīmena ceto gacchati pīnatām || 63 ||

The heart is stanch in its enjoyment of pleasures, however injurious they are in their nature;and though situated inside the body, yet it is subject to pine in disease and uneasiness, under a variety of pains and changes.
