The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

मनःसर्पः शरीरस्थो यावत्तावन्महद्भयम् ।
तस्मिन्नुत्सारिते योगाद्भयस्यावसरः कुतः ॥ ६३ ॥

manaḥsarpaḥ śarīrastho yāvattāvanmahadbhayam |
tasminnutsārite yogādbhayasyāvasaraḥ kutaḥ || 63 ||

As long as you cherish the snake of your mind within yourself, you are in danger of catching its poison; but this being removed by your yoga meditation, you escape the danger at once.
