The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

विद्यमानोऽपि यः शूरो लोकस्तेनाभिभूयते ।
अविद्यमानमेवेदं हन्यते मुग्धतोदिता ॥ १०४ ॥

vidyamāno'pi yaḥ śūro lokastenābhibhūyate |
avidyamānamevedaṃ hanyate mugdhatoditā || 104 ||

People are verily killed by an antagonist, who is present before them; but it is a wonder that the ignorant are foiled by the inexistent mind of their own making.
