Yoga Vasistha [sanskrit]

223,437 words | ISBN-10: 8171101519

The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.57.13

यदि त्वमात्मनात्मानमधिगच्छसि तं स्वयम् ।
एतत्प्रश्नोत्तरं साधु जानास्यत्र न संशयः ॥ १३ ॥

yadi tvamātmanātmānamadhigacchasi taṃ svayam |
etatpraśnottaraṃ sādhu jānāsyatra na saṃśayaḥ || 13 ||

The preaching of a sermon is selectable to old men, as fine colourings are suitable to clean canvas; and so a spiritual discourse of deep sense, suits one who has known the Spirit.
