The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.45.24

यथा स्वप्नो महारम्भो भ्रान्तिरेव न वस्तुतः ।
दीर्घस्वप्नं तथैवेदं विद्धि चित्तोपपादितम् ॥ २४ ॥

yathā svapno mahārambho bhrāntireva na vastutaḥ |
dīrghasvapnaṃ tathaivedaṃ viddhi cittopapāditam || 24 ||

It is as false as the visionary scene of a prolonged dream, and an aerial building of the fancies of the mind.
