The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.44.23

वपुर्वह्निकणाकारं स्फुरितं व्योम्नि पश्यति ।
अहंकारकलायुक्तं बुद्धिबीजसमन्वितम् ॥ २३ ॥

vapurvahnikaṇākāraṃ sphuritaṃ vyomni paśyati |
ahaṃkārakalāyuktaṃ buddhibījasamanvitam || 23 ||

It saw this body shining as a spark of fire in the sky, which joined with its egoism and understanding, formed its personality.
