The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.24.3

कलेवरालयं प्राप्य विषयामिषगृध्नुकाः ।
अक्षगृध्रा विवल्गन्ति कार्याकार्योग्रपक्षिणः ॥ ३ ॥

kalevarālayaṃ prāpya viṣayāmiṣagṛdhnukāḥ |
akṣagṛdhrā vivalganti kāryākāryograpakṣiṇaḥ || 3 ||

The roving senses like flying birds, have found their nest in the body; whence with their outstretched wings of right and wrong, they pounce on their prey like vultures.
