The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.17.25

स्वभावकोशस्थमिदं तदेतेन क्रमोदितम् ।
बीजेनाङ्कुरपत्रादिलतापुष्पफलं यथा ॥ २५ ॥

svabhāvakośasthamidaṃ tadetena kramoditam |
bījenāṅkurapatrādilatāpuṣpaphalaṃ yathā || 25 ||

It is also naturally situated in the embryo of the mind, of every species of living being, and is gradually evolved from it, in the manner of the shoots and sprouts, and leaves and flowers of trees, growing out of the seed.
