The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अपर्यालोकनेनैव सदिवासद्विराजते ।
यथा शुक्तौ रजतता जलं मरुमरीचिषु ॥ १० ॥

aparyālokanenaiva sadivāsadvirājate |
yathā śuktau rajatatā jalaṃ marumarīciṣu || 10 ||

It is the incircumspect view of a thing that makes a nullity appear as a reality, as the appearance of silver in the shell and the water in the mirage.
