223,437 words | ISBN-10: 8171101519

The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.119.11

यन्नास्ति तस्य नास्तित्वं प्रेक्ष्यमाणं प्रकाशते ।
अप्रेक्ष्यमाणं स्फुरति मृगतृष्णास्विवाम्बुधीः ॥ ११ ॥

yannāsti tasya nāstitvaṃ prekṣyamāṇaṃ prakāśate |
aprekṣyamāṇaṃ sphurati mṛgatṛṣṇāsvivāmbudhīḥ || 11 ||

The nullity of a nil appears as an ens to sight, as also the fallacy of a thing as something where there is nothing of the kind.
