The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

निष्पत्रपादपोड्डीनप्रौढाङ्गारमयानिलम् ।
रक्तपानोत्कमार्जारलीढधातुतटावनि ॥ २१ ॥

niṣpatrapādapoḍḍīnaprauḍhāṅgāramayānilam |
raktapānotkamārjāralīḍhadhātutaṭāvani || 21 ||

The trees were leafless, and the hot winds were blowing as fire-brands on all sides; and wild cats were licking the human blood, that was spilt on the rocky ground.
