The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.81.28

यादृक्कज्जलनीहारे मेघनीहारयोर्भवेत् ।
तादृक्प्रकाशतमसोर्भेदो नेति तयोः स्थितिः ॥ २८ ॥

yādṛkkajjalanīhāre meghanīhārayorbhavet |
tādṛkprakāśatamasorbhedo neti tayoḥ sthitiḥ || 28 ||

As the difference of the cloud and snows, consists in the blackness of the one and whiteness of the other; such is the difference of light and darkness in their colours only, and not in their substance.
