Yoga Vasistha [sanskrit]

223,437 words | ISBN-10: 8171101519

The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.80.7

आकाशं बाह्यशून्यत्वादनाकाशं तु चित्त्वतः ।
अतीन्द्रियत्वान्नो किंचित्स एवाणुरनन्तकः ॥ ७ ॥

ākāśaṃ bāhyaśūnyatvādanākāśaṃ tu cittvataḥ |
atīndriyatvānno kiṃcitsa evāṇuranantakaḥ || 7 ||

It is a void from its outward inanity, but it is no void as regards its intellect (which is a reality); it is said to be nothing from its imperceptibility, but it is a subtile something from its imperishableness.
