The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.70.64

तीक्ष्णाप्यहृदयत्वेन सरसेष्वरसेष्ववित् ।
सूत्रितापि पदार्थेषु विशत्यरसगामिनी ॥ ६४ ॥

tīkṣṇāpyahṛdayatvena saraseṣvaraseṣvavit |
sūtritāpi padārtheṣu viśatyarasagāminī || 64 ||

The acute and unfeeling colic, being as ignorant as the stiff and heartless needle, of the softness or dryness of the object; pierces the hardiest breast, without deriving any sweetness from it.
