The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

यथा भावितमेतेषां पदार्थानां निजं वपुः ।
तदेव हि चिराभ्यासान्नियतेर्वशमायतम् ॥ १८ ॥

yathā bhāvitameteṣāṃ padārthānāṃ nijaṃ vapuḥ |
tadeva hi cirābhyāsānniyatervaśamāyatam || 18 ||

And the manner in which all beings consider themselves, and all others for a length of time; the same they seem to be by their mode and habit of thinking, as if it were by an act of destiny.
