The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.48.70

एतस्मिन्नन्तरे सिन्धुरस्त्रं सस्मार शोषणम् ।
आपत्त्राणकरं दैवं ददौ च शररूपिणम् ॥ ७० ॥

etasminnantare sindhurastraṃ sasmāra śoṣaṇam |
āpattrāṇakaraṃ daivaṃ dadau ca śararūpiṇam || 70 ||

At this moment, Sindhu thought upon his anhydrous weapons (soshanastre—thermal arms), which possessed the miraculous power of preserving his people from the water, and hurled them in the air.
