The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

श्रीदेव्युवाच ।
न किंचित्कस्यचिदहं करोमि वरवर्णिनि ।
सर्व संपादयत्याशु स्वयं जीवः स्वमीहितम् ॥ १२ ॥

śrīdevyuvāca |
na kiṃcitkasyacidahaṃ karomi varavarṇini |
sarva saṃpādayatyāśu svayaṃ jīvaḥ svamīhitam || 12 ||

The goddess answered saying said:—Know O excellent lady! that I have no power to do anything; but every thing happens to pass according to the desire of the living being.
