The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

आदिवं रचिताकाराः कुन्तकाननकान्तयः ।
वीराणां स्वर्गमारोढुमिव सोपानपङ्क्तयः ॥ २१ ॥

ādivaṃ racitākārāḥ kuntakānanakāntayaḥ |
vīrāṇāṃ svargamāroḍhumiva sopānapaṅktayaḥ || 21 ||

The glaring light of the line of lances that had reached the skies, seemed as a flight of stairs or golden vistas, for the ascent of the brave to the gates of heaven.
