The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.19.20

संपन्नः प्राक्तनानल्पसंकल्पवशतः स्वयम् ।
आकाशवपुरेवैष पतिः परमशक्तिमान् ॥ २० ॥

saṃpannaḥ prāktanānalpasaṃkalpavaśataḥ svayam |
ākāśavapurevaiṣa patiḥ paramaśaktimān || 20 ||

This aeriform spirit of the Brahman, assumed the shape of a mighty man on earth, by virtue of the excessive desire and merit of acts in his former state of existence.
