The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

पूर्वे चेद्धनतां याता नाभ्यासात्तव वासना ।
वर्धिष्यते तु नेदानीमपि तात सुखी भव ॥ ३७ ॥

pūrve ceddhanatāṃ yātā nābhyāsāttava vāsanā |
vardhiṣyate tu nedānīmapi tāta sukhī bhava || 37 ||

If you will not exert yourself at present to improve your dormant desires by constant practice, you can never expect to be happy.
