The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

वृक्षाः प्रतिवनं सन्ति नित्यं सफलपल्लवाः ।
नत्वपूर्वचमत्कारो लवङ्गः सुलभः सदा ॥ ४१ ॥

vṛkṣāḥ prativanaṃ santi nityaṃ saphalapallavāḥ |
natvapūrvacamatkāro lavaṅgaḥ sulabhaḥ sadā || 41 ||

There may grow in every forest, trees with goodly flowers and leaves; but the extraordinary and fair clove tree is not always to be met with.
