The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

पतामः परितः पुण्यामेतां दाशरथीं सभाम् ।
नीरन्ध्रां कनकोद्योतां पद्मिनीमिव षट्पदाः ॥ ३ ॥

patāmaḥ paritaḥ puṇyāmetāṃ dāśarathīṃ sabhām |
nīrandhrāṃ kanakodyotāṃ padminīmiva ṣaṭpadāḥ || 3 ||

Let us descend to the full open court of Dasaratha, which is as bright as gold and free from stain, in the manner of bees alighting on the aureate and immaculate lotus.
