The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.3.38; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

Sanskrit text, Unicode transliteration and English translation:

तत्र विषादाद्, यथा —
व्रज-राज्ञि रथात् पुरो हरिं
स्वयम् इत्य् अर्ध-विशीर्ण-जल्पया ।
ह्रियम् एणदृशा गुराव् अपि
श्लथयन्त्या किल रोदिता सखी ॥२.३.३८॥

tatra viṣādād, yathā —
vraja-rājñi rathāt puro hariṃ
svayam ity ardha-viśīrṇa-jalpayā
|
hriyam eṇadṛśā gurāv api
ślathayantyā kila roditā sakhī
||2.3.38||

English translation

From lamentation:
“ ‘O Queen of Vraja, Yaśodā! Please personally take Kṛṣṇa from the chariot in front of you (embarking for Mathurā).’ Doe-eyed Rādhā has made Her friends weep by giving up bashfulness in front of elders and uttering half these words in a choked voice.”
