The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.3.39; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. विस्मयाद्, यथा श्री-दशमे (१०.१३.६४) —
शनैर् अथोत्थाय विमृज्य लोचने
मुकुन्दम् उद्वीक्ष्य विनम्र-कन्धरः ।
कृताञ्जलिः प्रश्रयवान् समाहितः
स-वेपथुर् गद्गदयैलतेलया ॥२.३.३९॥vismayād, yathā śrī-daśame (10.13.64) —
śanair athotthāya vimṛjya locane
mukundam udvīkṣya vinamra-kandharaḥ |
kṛtāñjaliḥ praśrayavān samāhitaḥ
sa-vepathur gadgadayailatelayā ||2.3.39||
English translation
From astonishment, from the Tenth Canto of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam [10.13.64]:
“Then, rising very gradually and wiping his two eyes, Lord Brahmā looked up at Mukunda. Lord Brahmā, his head bent low, his mind concentrated and his body trembling, very humbly began, with faltering words, to offer praises to Lord Kṛṣṇa.”
