Rig Veda 10.114.4

एक॑: सुप॒र्णः स स॑मु॒द्रमा वि॑वेश॒ स इ॒दं विश्वं॒ भुव॑नं॒ वि च॑ष्टे । तं पाके॑न॒ मन॑सापश्य॒मन्ति॑त॒स्तं मा॒ता रे॑ळ्हि॒ स उ॑ रेळ्हि मा॒तर॑म् ॥
एकः सुपर्णः स समुद्रमा विवेश स इदं विश्वं भुवनं वि चष्टे । तं पाकेन मनसापश्यमन्तितस्तं माता रेळ्हि स उ रेळ्हि मातरम् ॥
ekaḥ suparṇaḥ sa samudram ā viveśa sa idaṃ viśvam bhuvanaṃ vi caṣṭe | tam pākena manasāpaśyam antitas tam mātā reḻhi sa u reḻhi mātaram ||

English translation:

“One of the birds has entered the firmament; he contemplates this whole world; with mind mature Ibeheld him night at hand; him the mother licks, he licks themother.”

Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya

Mother: i.e., the mādhyamikā vāk, thesound of mid-heaven, the thunder, which is the mother or source of rain. The deity referred to as the bird whohas taken his station in the firmament is Agni, or else Vāyu
