Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. तं दष्टं पन्नगेन्द्रेण करिष्येऽहमपज्वरम् ।
तत्र मेऽर्थश्च धर्मश्च भवितेति विचिन्तयन् ॥ ३३ ॥

taṃ daṣṭaṃ pannagendreṇa kariṣye'hamapajvaram |
tatra me'rthaśca dharmaśca bhaviteti vicintayan || 33 ||
