Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. बहुरूप्यकृतं वित्तं विन्दते रेवतीं श्रितः ।
अश्वांश्चाश्वयुजे वेत्ति भरणीष्वायुरुत्तमम् ॥ १४ ॥

bahurūpyakṛtaṃ vittaṃ vindate revatīṃ śritaḥ |
aśvāṃścāśvayuje vetti bharaṇīṣvāyuruttamam || 14 ||
