Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. रविप्रभं वज्रनाभं क्षुरान्तं पार्श्वे स्थितं पश्य जनार्दनस्य ।
चक्रं यशो वर्धयत्केशवस्य सदार्चितं यदुभिः पश्य वीर ॥ २८ ॥

raviprabhaṃ vajranābhaṃ kṣurāntaṃ pārśve sthitaṃ paśya janārdanasya |
cakraṃ yaśo vardhayatkeśavasya sadārcitaṃ yadubhiḥ paśya vīra || 28 ||
