Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. तदुद्धूतं बलं दृष्ट्व रथनागाश्वपत्तिमत् ।
भीमः कर्णं समासाद्य छादयामास सायकैः ॥ २४ ॥

taduddhūtaṃ balaṃ dṛṣṭva rathanāgāśvapattimat |
bhīmaḥ karṇaṃ samāsādya chādayāmāsa sāyakaiḥ || 24 ||
