The Garga-samhita Verse 4.11.23, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 4 of Chapter 11 (The Story of the Gopis That were Residents of Rama-vaikuntha, Shvetadvipa, Urdhva-vaikuntha, Ajita-pada, and Shri Lokacala) of Canto 4 (madhurya-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

श्री-नारद उवाच
तथेति मीलिताक्षिषु
गोपीषु भगवान् हरिः
विहाय तद्-योगि-रूपं
बभौ श्री-नन्द-नन्दनः

śrī-nārada uvāca
tatheti mīlitākṣiṣu
gopīṣu bhagavān hariḥ
vihāya tad-yogi-rūpaṃ
babhau śrī-nanda-nandanaḥ

śrī-nārada uvāca—Śrī Nārada said; tathā—so be it; iti—thus; mīlitaclosed; akṣiṣu—eyes; gopīṣu—gopīs; bhagavānLord; hariḥHari; vihāyataking; tad-yogi-rūpam—that yogi's form; babhau—manifested; śrī-nanda-nandanaḥ—the son of nanda.

English translation of verse 4.11.23:

Śrī Nārada said: As the gopīs stood with closed eyes, the Lord abandoned the form of a yogī and again became Kṛṣṇa, the son of Nanda.
