परिपूर्णतमं साक्षाच्
छ्री-कृष्णं विद्धि मैथिल
कंसादीनां वधार्थाय
प्राप्तो ऽयं भूमि-मण्डले
paripūrṇatamaṃ sākṣāc
chrī-kṛṣṇaṃ viddhi maithila
kaṃsādīnāṃ vadhārthāya
prāpto 'yaṃ bhūmi-maṇḍale
paripūrṇatamaṃ sākṣāt—the original Supreme Personality of Godhead; śrī-kṛṣṇam—Śrī Kṛṣṇa; viddhi—know; maithila—O king of Mithilā; kaṃsa—by Kaṃsa; ādīnām—headed by; vadha—killing; arthāya—for the purpose; prāptaḥ—
English translation of verse 1.5.37:
attained; ayam—He; bhūmi-maṇḍale—on the circle of the earth.
