श्री-नारद उवाच
श्रुत्वा ब्रह्मा देव-गणैर्
नत्वा कृष्णं परात् परम्
भूमिम् आश्वास्य वाणीभिः
स्व-धाम निजम् आययौ
śrī-nārada uvāca
śrutvā brahmā deva-gaṇair
natvā kṛṣṇaṃ parāt param
bhūmim āśvāsya vāṇībhiḥ
sva-dhāma nijam āyayau
śrī-nāradaḥ uvāca—Śrī Nārada said; śrutvā—hearing; brahmā—Brahmā; deva-gaṇaiḥ—with the demigods; natvā—bowing; kṛṣṇam—to Lord Kṛṣṇa; parāt—than the greatest; param—greater; bhūmim—the earth; āśvāsya—consoling; vāṇībhiḥ—
English translation of verse 1.5.36:

Śrī Nārada said: Hearing this, Brahmā and the demigods bowed down before Lord Kṛṣṇa, who is greater than the greatest, and, comforted the earth-goddess, and each went to his own abode.
