The Garga-samhita Verse 1.5.38, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. रोम-मात्रं तनौ जिह्वा
भवन्तीत्थं यदा नृप
तदापि श्री-हरेस् तस्य
वर्ण्यते न गुणो महान्

roma-mātraṃ tanau jihvā
bhavantītthaṃ yadā nṛpa
tadāpi śrī-hares tasya
varṇyate na guṇo mahān

roma-mātram—hairs; tanau—on the body; jihvāḥ—tongues; bhavanti—are;

English translation of verse 1.5.38:

ittham—then; yadā—when; nṛpa—O king; tadā—then; api—even; śrī-hareḥ—of Śrī Hari; tasya—of Him; varṇyate—is described; na—not; guṇaḥ—glory; mahān

great.

O king, If I had as many tongues as there are hairs on my body, I could still not properly describe Śrī Hari's great and glorious qualities.
