श्री-नारद उवाच
इत्य् उक्तवन्तं जगद्-ईश्वरं हरिं
राधा पतिम् प्राह वियोग-विह्वला
दावाग्निना दाव-लतेव मूर्छिता-
श्रु-कम्प-रोमाञ्चित-भाव-सम्वृता
śrī-nārada uvāca
ity uktavantaṃ jagad-īśvaraṃ hariṃ
rādhā patim prāha viyoga-vihvalā
dāvāgninā dāva-lateva mūrchitā-
śru-kampa-romāñcita-bhāva-samvṛtā
śrī-nāradaḥ uvāca—Śrī Nārada said; iti—thus; uktavantam—spoken; jagad—of the universe; īśvaraṃ—the master; hariṃ—Lord Kṛṣṇa; rādhā—Śrī Rādhā; patim—Her master; prāha—said; viyoga—separation; vihvalā—agitated; dāvāgninā—with a forest fire; dāva—on fire; latā—a vine; iva—like; mūrchitā—fainted; aśru—tears; kampa—trembling; romāñcita—hairs standing erect; bhāva—ecstasy; samvṛtā—possessing.
English translation of verse 1.3.28:
Śrī Nārada said: When Her husband, Lord Kṛṣṇa, the master of the universes, had spoken, Śrī Rādhā, overcome with fear of being separated from Him, and now like a flowering vine burning in a great forest fire, weeping, trembling, about to faint unconscious, and the hairs of her body erect, spoke to Him.
