daṣamūlakaṣāyasyāḍhake pathyāṣataṃ pacet| atra ca sāmānyaparibhāṣayā kvāthyadravyasya ca daṣamūlasya dvātriṃṣat palāni bhavanti| evaṃ ca tantrāntare virodhaḥ| tathā ca tatraivaṃ kathyate, (ca. ci. a. 12|50)- "dvipañcamūlasya tulākaṣāye kaṃse'bhayānāṃ ca ṣataṃ guḍācca|" iti| tadevaṃ virodhaṃ paṣyanto vyākhyāmevaṃvidhāṃ vidvāṃso vidadhati,-daṣamūlasya tulā, tasyāḥ kaṣāyo daṣamūlakaṣāya iti| mayūravyaṃsakāditvāduttarapadalopi samāsaḥ| evaṃ daṣamūlasya palaṣataṃ tatkvāthasyāḍhake pathyāṣataṃ pacet| guḍatulāṃ dattvā tasmin lehe vicūrṇitaṃ trijātakādi dadyāt| eteṣāṃ ca pramāṇaṃ vāsiṣṭhalehavet (hṛ. ci. a. 3|133) kalpyam| yavakṣārasya karṣamātraṃ deyam| tantrāntare hyuktam-"vyoṣāccatuṣpalaṃ dadyāttripalaṃ trisugandhataḥ| karṣamātraṃ yavakṣārāt" iti| ṣīte ca sati mākṣikāt prasthārdhaṃ deyam| tatetat, upayojitaṃ pravṛddhaṣophādīn hanti| kharanādastu jagāda-"daṣamūlāḍhakamabhayāṣatasahitaṃ pācayedapāṃ droṇe| avaṣeṣitacaturaṃṣe tasmin punaḥ prakṣipet pathyāḥ||" iti| upajātivṛttam|

ṣvayathoḥ purāṇayavādi daṣamūlākvāthasādhitamalpaṃ tathā'lpalavaṇasnehaṃ bhojanaṃ hitam| kaiḥ saha? maudgai rasaiḥ| kimbhūtaiḥ? kṣāratryūṣaṇayuktaiḥ| tathā kaulatthai rasaiḥ| kimbhūtaiḥ? sapippalīkaiḥ| tathā ca muniḥ (ca. ci. a. 12|62)- "kulatthayūṣastu sapippalīko maudgastu satryūṣaṇayāvaṣūkaḥ| rasastathā jāṅgalaviṣkirāṇāṃ sakūrmagodhāṣikhiṣallakānām||" iti| atra ca ṣikhino jāṅgalaviṣkiratvena gṛhītā api pathyataratvapratipādanārthaṃ punarupāttāḥ| tathā'yameva tantrakṛdaṣṭāṅgāvatāre'dhyagīṣṭa (?)-"daṣamūlāmbhasā siddhairvyoṣakṣārarajonvitaiḥ| rasairjāṅgalajairmaudnaiḥ kaulatthairmaulakairapi||" iti| tathetyādi| tathā jāṅgalamāṃsajaistathā kacśapādijaiṣca| pāne mathitamanamlaṃ madyāni ca sauṣadhāni hitāni|
