Birth.

Kaśyapa was born the son of Marīci, son of Brahmā. Kaśyapa married Danu, one of the daughters of Dakṣa and had two sons by her. They were Ajaka and Vṛṣaparvā. (Mahābhārata, Ādi Parva, Chapter 65, Verse 24; Chapter 67, Verse 16).
