The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

यथास्थितमिदं विश्वं तथासंस्थमनामयम् ।
ब्रह्मैव निरवद्यात्म चित्संकल्पपुराकृति ॥ ३२ ॥

yathāsthitamidaṃ viśvaṃ tathāsaṃsthamanāmayam |
brahmaiva niravadyātma citsaṃkalpapurākṛti || 32 ||

The divine soul is as quiet and unchangeable, as this universe is stable and stationary; and it is the fluctuation of the supreme mind, which causes these variations in the face of the city of the divine will [or the world].
